We are excited to announce that the 2026 Northwest Martial Arts Festival is coming up on Saturday, November 7 at the Oregon Convention Center!

Tournaments are an awesome opportunity for students of all ages and belt levels to challenge themselves, build confidence, and experience Taekwondo in a fun and exciting new way. We especially encourage students to compete earlier in their martial arts journey. Tournaments aren’t just for advanced students!

⏰ Tournament runs approximately 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Students may compete in one or more events, including:

Distance Board Break – Flying Side Kick
Creative Board Breaking
Individual Poomse (Forms)
Pairs Poomse
Team Poomse
Weapons Form
Olympic Sparring (Students interested in sparring MUST speak with their sparring instructor before registering for a sparring event.)

Early registration Deadline: Oct. 24

First event: $130
Each additional event: $60
A $50 late fee applies beginning Oct. 25

🚨 Final registration closes at 11:59 PM on Oct. 30. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline.

🪵 Board Breaking Competitors

All boards must be purchased at the tournament for $5 each, cash only.

Distance Board Break requires 1 board and challenges to see who can complete the farthest flying side kick break.

Creative Board Breaking requires 10 boards. Competitors have 90 seconds to set up, complete their breaks, and clean up. Students participating in creative board breaking will need a coach to hold their boards and MUST have permission from us prior to registering for this event to ensure we have a coach available.

🥊 Sparring Competitors

Students competing in Olympic Sparring must bring their complete required sparring gear.

A plastic face shield is REQUIRED for all competitors ages 14 and under. Competitors also need the appropriate headgear, chest protector, shin/instep and forearm protection, CLEAR mouthguard, and groin protection for males.

Black Belt Olympic Sparring competitors will use GEN 3 DAEDO PSS and must bring their own GEN 3 DAEDO socks.

Prior to registering for sparring, students MUST have permission from their sparring instructor first.

We do NOT practice Kombat Sparring at Murrayhill Martial Arts. All sparring competitors should register for Olympic Sparring only.

🎟️ Spectators

Spectator admission is $20 cash only at the tournament. Infants are free.
